AMERSA’s Capital Campaign

AMERSA is excited to be celebrating its 32nd year in existence. It is a time of reflection and looking to the future--and for many of us, a time to recall our gratitude to AMERSA and our colleagues. AMERSA has personally touched the lives of many professionals, patients and clients, and their families. We have much to be proud of.

To expand our important work, we are conducting a Capital Campaign and asking all AMERSA members and friends to contribute. Every member of the AMERSA Board has donated generously. Because we are a small organization, 100% participation from members and friends is essential. Our goal is $250,000; we know we can do it with your assistance.

Past income sources are inadequate to move forward our ambitious National Strategic Plan for Interdisciplinary Faculty Development to improve access to prevention and treatment for all individuals and families affected by substance abuse.

Campaign funds will help us
• Build a national educational infrastructure for health professionals who lack
substance abuse skills
• Expand interdisciplinary faculty development in substance abuse to include all
health professions
• Enlarge our national mentoring network
• Inform the federal government, universities, licensing and accrediting bodies,
and others of ways to improve substance abuse training for health
professionals
