2025 Podcast Call for Proposals
AMERSA is excited to announce two new podcast series. The first series, Equity in Action: Advancing SUD Solutions, will include six 30 to 40-minute episodes sponsored by the Opioid Response Network (ORN). The second series, Stigma and Substance Use: Rewriting the Narrative, will include eight 30 to 40-minute episodes sponsored by Provider’s Clinical Support System – Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (PCSS MOUD). Both series will feature subject matter experts across multiple disciplines.
Equity in Action: Advancing SUD Solutions explores the intersections of addiction science and health equity, amplifying voices from diverse disciplines and lived and living experiences. The series will discuss challenges, lessons learned and strategies for addressing persistent health disparities in marginalized communities including tribal, rural, disability, LGBTQ+ and racially minoritized groups. The series will highlight innovative solutions to promote inclusive, equitable care for all.
Stigma and Substance Use: Rewriting the Narrative explores the pervasive impact of stigma on individuals and communities affected by substance use disorders (SUD), featuring insights from experts, including individuals with lived experience and multidisciplinary professionals. Episodes will unpack the roots of stigma, its effects on care access and outcomes, and strategies to foster empathy, understanding, and inclusive support.
We are accepting podcast episode proposals from anyone engaged in activities related to substance use health equity or combating substance use stigma. The podcast series will be promoted widely and will be an opportunity for individuals working in the field of substance use and addiction to showcase their work.
